What Do Foot Care Visits Include?
Nursing Advanced Foot Care
- Non- invasive treatment or recommendation for common foot care problems (thick and/or possible fungal nails, non- infected ingrown toenails*, heel fissures, calluses and corns and diabetic foot care)
- The foot care nurses are scheduled in the home every 6 weeks. No independent visits at this time. If an Independent visit is requested, a referral will be provided to an another independent foot care practitioner.

- The foot care nurses will work within the scope. If anything is beyond their scope a referral to a private foot care practitioner will provided.

Facility Care Billing
- Please see consent form for rate of foot care services.
- Billing to the resident’s comfort/trust/monthly account is the preferred method of payment.
- A receipt is available at the administration office at the home after every foot care visit.
- If you choose to be billed directly Niagara Mobile accepts Cheque or E-transfer.
- If you have extended health insurance, please call your insurance provider to check your foot care coverage. We do not direct bill!
- If you do not have extended health insurance, keep your receipt and you may be able to claim it as a medical expense on your income tax.
Added Fees
- Finger nail care $15 per visit with foot care services.
- $2 invoicing fee per mailed document.
- If payment is not received before 30 days a $5 late payment fee will be added to every month payment is outstanding. Plus $2 invoicing fee added for additional documents mailed.
- If there is an outstanding balance foot care services are on hold until balance is paid.
Will Insurance Cover the Cost of Foot Care?
Please check with your extended health plan to see if you may be covered. Niagara Mobile Foot Care is a Veterans Affairs, Green Shield and Blue Cross Insurance Approved Provider. It is the responsibility of the insurance holder to ensure they are covered and not Niagara Mobile Foot Care.
