What Do Foot Care Visits Include?
Nursing Advanced Foot Care
- Non- invasive treatment or recommendation for common foot care problems (thick and/or possible fungal nails, non- infected ingrown toenails, heel fissures, calluses and corns and diabetic foot care)*

What is the Cost?
- $50** per client visit- St. Catharines or close proximity.
- $60** Shaver Hospital per client visit. Plus parking fees.
- $65** per client visit- Areas Serviced – Pelham, Thorold South and surrounding area (Effingham, St. John’s, Allenburg, Port Robinson), Fonthill, Welland, Niagara Falls, Jordan, Vineland and Lincoln, Niagara on the Lake, Fort Erie, Port Colborne.
- NO NHS hospital visits at this time.
- Add on basic finger nail care $15 with foot care visit.
*Nurses are required by the College of Nurses to chart their nursing care.
All charting will be solely in the possession of the nurse providing care and will only be shared with other members of the healthcare team with the clients permission. All nurses (RN/RPN) work and practice within their scope, all care beyond their scope will be provided recommendations and referred to the appropriate sources.
**All rates are subject to change at the discretion of the foot care nurse due to distance and time of travel (km and travel time).
What Do Foot Care Visits Include?
Basic Foot Care (PSW)
Non -invasive treatment or recommendation for common foot care problems for client’s who are not diabetic or not on blood thinners, or those with vascular or arterial insufficiency. Basic trimming, filing of nails (no thick nail reduction) and Basic skin care (superficial callus, no corns). All PSW’s work and practice within their scope. All care beyond their scope will be provided recommendations and referred to the appropriate sources.

Costs
$35* per client visit St. Catharines or close proximity. (Client’s health history must be triaged by nurse before appointment booked)
$50* per client visit Other Areas Served- Thorold South, Fonthill, Welland, Niagara Falls, Jordon, Vineland, Niagara on the Lake (Client’s health history must be triaged by nurse before appointment booked)
Add on basic finger nail care $15* with foot care visit.

What Do Foot Care Visits Include?

What Kind of Polishes Are Used During Care?
Quo Base and Top Coat- The healthy solution: breathable nail colour. The breathable polish will help keep the natural physiology of the toe nails protected, while water-vapor and air can still pass through. Breathable polish will help your toe nails breath while wearing polish!Infection control
– After basic foot care is completed, the nails are then prepped for nail polish.
-Once the colour of polish is chosen, it Is then poured into its own since-use container, which is disposed of after care.
-Single use brushes used to apply the base polish. The top coat polish is then applied overtop.See Policies and Procedures for more details.

What are the accepted payment methods?
Residential Care
- Cash at time of Visit *
- Cheque**
- E-transfer
- If you have extended health insurance, please call your insurance provider to check your foot care coverage. We do not direct bill.
- If you do not have extended health insurance, keep your receipt and you may be able to claim it as a medical expense on your income tax
Added Fees
- Finger nail care $15/visit with foot care services.
- $2 invoicing fee / mailed document.
- If payment is not received before 30 days a $5 late payment fee will be added to the balance/month it remains outstanding.
- Cheque NSF Fees will be added to balance outstanding.
*All payments are paid directly to the foot care provider, after receiving your foot care treatment.
Will Insurance Cover the Cost of Foot Care?
Please check with your extended health plan to see if you may be covered. Nurses sub contracted through Niagara Mobile Foot Care are Veterans Affairs, Green Shield and Blue Cross Insurance Approved Providers. The providers do not direct bill!
